Reflecting its commitment to the environment, and in particular the Corumbá Corridor along the Paraguay-Paraná river system, Vale participated in BirdLife International’s World Bird Festival. The event took place in Paraguay at the end of October.
Our employees, their families and members of the local community took part in the festival, which featured workshops and conferences about bird watching. The Festival, whose slogan was “Biological diversity is life, our life …,” provided information about how to protect birds, their habitats and biological diversity along rivers.
Vale’s participation in this global campaign has contributed to conserving the Paraguay River and its surrounding area.
