Vale Fertilizers is the winner of the 6th edition of the Best Agribusiness awards, organized by magazine Globo Rural, part of Globo, a major Brazilian publishing group. Vale received the “best in Fertilizer sector” award and was declared the “champion of champions” in Agribusiness, which covers 30 sectors.
Every year, Globo Rural ranks the 500 biggest agribusiness companies, in line with financial criteria, as well as companies that stand out in different states and regions, and produces articles about the 30 winners of the Best Agribusiness awards.
The companies are selected based on points obtained for ten criteria, including net revenue, return on equity and total assets. The assessment was made in partnership with Serasa Experian, a company that provides information services for credit decisions.
Vale Fertilizers declared champion
The champion of champions is chosen by a jury composed of representatives of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag), the Brazilian Rural Marketing & Agribusiness Association (ABMR&A), the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture (CNA), the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB), Serasa Experian and magazine Globo Rural.
Vale Fertilizers’ importance to the Brazilian and global economy and its entry to a sector of structural importance to domestic agribusiness were key factors in its selection.
