In September, Vale was awarded the Transparency Trophy by the National Association of Financial, Administrative and Accounting Executives (Anefac). The award, which relates to 2009, was given to companies that stand out for the transparency of their financial statements.
This year, for the 14th edition of the awards, Anefac spent four months thoroughly analyzing the financial statements of over 700 companies before selecting the ones with the most transparent accounts. In previous years, Vale has consistently featured among the top ten in the ranking.
