Rádio Phylarmonia is now on air, featuring a refined repertoire, including compositions by great artists such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. The initiative is one of the educational activities run by the Vale Music program, in partnership with the Vale Foundation and NGO Phylarmonia Arte e Cultura.
The radio station is designed for the 10- to 14-year-old children who participate in the Vale Music project, giving them a chance to put all the knowledge and skills they have acquired from the project into practice. The children are responsible for selecting all the content played on the radio, which spans Popular Brazilian Music, jazz, bossa nova, samba and choro, as well as classical music.

Vale Music project
The Vale Music project was created ten years ago in Espírito Santo, Brazil. After it was launched, the initiative, which promotes social inclusion through music, spread to other Brazilian states where Vale operates. At the moment, 200 young people from the Serra region benefit from the project, whose activities are focused at the Novo Horizonte Center in the municipality of Serra.
