Prospecting for suppliers
How can I become a Vale supplier?
To be a Vale supplier, you need to pre-register on the Quadrem company’s SNM Portal. When Vale needs to approve and/or hire new suppliers, it will examine the details of registered companies and continue the qualification process.
What do I do to pre-register a supplier?
To pre-register, visit the Quadrem company’s SNM Portal. Follow the instructions below:
- Go to this internet address: https://snm.quadrem.net;
- Click on “Language” in the top-right corner of the screen;
- Select “English” and click “OK.” If the page is already in English, skip this stage;
- Complete the pre-registration form;
- A few minutes later, you will receive an email from CRM_Service@quadrem.com giving your provisional user name and password to begin your registration on the SNM Portal;
- Complete and submit the online form. Within a few minutes, you will receive another email with your definitive user name and password to complete your registration on the SNM Portal. This message will be emailed from quadremsolve@quadrem.com.
After going through these steps, Quadrem’s support team will contact you to check you received your user name and password. If you do not receive an email with your credentials in up to two working days, please contact the Quadrem support team at 0800-604-7171, option 5, or at sac@quadrem.com.
Why haven’t I been contacted, despite having registered?
Vale is not obliged to contact companies that complete the pre-registration form or to invite them to take part in bids. Opportunities to approve new suppliers arise in accordance with Vale’s need to purchase and hire goods and services.
Information registered on the Quadrem Portal will be available to Vale’s technical areas and suppliers may or may not go through to the next stages, in line with Vale’s need to expand the number of companies approved and/or hired.
Qualification of suppliers
After registering on the Quadrem Portal, can I supply Vale right away?
No. At this stage, the company is merely a candidate to supply Vale. To become a supplier, the company needs to pass through the qualification process.
The information registered will be available to Vale. The qualification process will continue if and when Vale needs to expand the number of companies approved and/or hired.

What is the Training Platform?
The Training Platform is an integrated solution for managing and offering online courses on various themes. If you are not sure which courses to do, the platform features a “My Ideal Courses” feature, where you can take a questionnaire to help identify the areas of knowledge that best fit your profile. The virtual learning environment has a simple, user-friendly interface, and can be accessed at www.inoveedu.com.br.
How can I take online courses?
To participate in online courses, you need to register on the program’s Training Platform (www.inoveedu.com.br), acquire a license to access the courses and request enrolment.
After I have paid for courses, how long does it take to gain access to them?
When you pay for courses with a credit card, access to them will depend on approval from the credit card administration company. If you pay with a bank payment slip, access to the courses depends on payment confirmation from the bank, which is normally given on the following working day, although in exceptional cases it may take longer.

What is the deadline for taking online courses?
The online courses can be taken in up to 60 consecutive days. However, this deadline may be shorter, depending on the number of days available in your access plan.
What financial products are available to Vale’s suppliers?
At the moment, two facilitated credit lines are available to suppliers that have a contract with Vale: FFF and @NF. See more information in the “Financial support” section.
Can I make early FFF loan repayments?
Yes, you can. In addition, before making early repayments, you can ask your bank manager whether it is possible to negotiate a reduction in the loan’s interest rate, given that you will be making repayments earlier than planned.
Can I take out more than one FFF loan for the same contract?
Yes, you can, provided that the first loan has been completely paid back. For example, if the last loan repayment for the contract is scheduled for the current month and the total loan amount has been paid back, with no outstanding amount owed, you can request another FFF loan for the same contract. This request will be analyzed once more and if it is approved, a new loan process will begin.
My invoices are already registered on the Quadrem Portal, but I can’t see them in the system. What could be happening?
Vale’s system goes through periodic updates and some files may not have been loaded in the payment batch sent to the bank. It will only be possible to process invoices that are visible in the bank’s system. Please wait 48 hours and then check whether the invoice has appeared in the bank’s system.
What kind of business stimulation initiatives may Inove develop?
Inove runs a variety of initiatives to stimulate business in the mining supply chain. The program conducts business and industrial diagnoses in the locations where Vale operates, continually offers opportunities for participants in this supply chain, and encourages companies to register with Vale. In addition, Inove provides market players with Suppliers’ Kits. Find out more in the “Business stimulation” section.
