Inove promotes the growth and development of suppliers through training initiatives. Accordingly, the program is supported by Valer, Vale’s education area, which offers educational actions inside and outside the company, and has partnerships with renowned institutions.
Enhancing technical skills
The program offers Vale’s suppliers face-to-face technical courses. Focusing on administrative and operational positions in companies, training spans a range of technical areas and business specialties, such as construction, welding, mechanics and hotel services.
Training Platform
At www.inoveedu.com.br, you can find information about online courses, videos and articles. A large share of the content is available not only to Vale suppliers, but all micro and small companies interested in upgrading their business skills.
In all, 151 online courses are available. To help select courses, we created “My Ideal Courses,” a simulator that lets users make a self-diagnosis to identify their main development needs.
As part of our Knowledge Areas plan, we offer 100 courses covering different themes such as Sustainability, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Project Management. In the Harvard Manage Mentor Plus and The Essential Leader plans, users can take 50 business management-focused courses developed by Harvard Business Publishing. These courses are offered in Portuguese.
In partnership with ER Idiomas, Vale also offers an English language course. Participants have the right to access material on the network 24 hours a day, plus a half-hour weekly tutorial by telephone, chat or Skype.
To access these courses, participants need to acquire a 60-day license for prices varying from R$23,50 to R$160.
