In contract management, Vale evaluates and delivers the materials or services acquired. The information obtained is entered in a database to be used to renew contracts, evaluate the Supplier Performance Index (IDF) or alter the volumes acquired.
During the contract period, each supplier will be allocated a Vale manager to be responsible for tracking its deliveries and evaluating its performance. A supplier may have more than one manager responsible for relations with it, if it has more than one contract with Vale in different areas.
