Travel advice

Passageiros no trem

Follow this advice to help ensure you have an enjoyable journey:

  • Keep your ticket in a safe place. You will need to have it on you throughout your trip.
  • Sit on the seat specified on your ticket. Any queries may be directed to an onboard member of staff.
  • Take care of your luggage during the trip. You are responsible for it. Don’t forget to label it.
  • Dispose of different kinds of waste in the appropriate colored garbage containers located between the train cars. If you prefer, hand your garbage over to a member of staff.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and footwear. It is best not to wear tight clothes and high heels.
  • Do not let children wander around the train unaccompanied. Always keep an eye on them.
  • In the event of any technical problems, keep calm and pay attention to the visual and sound signals.

To find out a train’s expected time of arrival, call 0300 313 6580 (price of a local call throughout Brazil).

    Passengers may not

    • Smoke on board.
    • Drink alcoholic beverages.
    • Gamble.
    • Use audio equipment without headphones.
    • Embark in a state of drunkenness.
    • Carry a weapon or any other object considered dangerous within the train.
    • Embark with animals, except in the case of guide dogs.
    • Transport very large objects or those that do not fit in the hand luggage compartment.
    • Behave inappropriately for a public place.
