Mina de manganês

Vale owns manganese and ferro-alloy operations through subsidiaries in Brazil, France and Norway.

Brazil

Vale has manganese and ferro-alloy production complexes in the states of Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais and Pará. Manganese is mined and processed at the following facilities:

  • [ + ]Urucum
  • [ + ]Morro da Mina

We have ferro-alloy plants in the states of Minas Gerais (Santa Rita, Barbacena and Ouro Preto) and Bahia (Simões Filho).

France

We have a manganese ferro-alloy plant in northern France.

Norway

Vale has a manganese ferro-alloy plant in the north of Norway.
