Many people believe that only governments and companies are responsible for preserving the planet, and that people’s everyday habits are too insignificant to generate meaningful global change. However, as Vale has a large number of employees across the world, the company can provide a good example of how, together, our individual habits can make a big difference.
Launched on June 5, the Consider this: together we can do wonders campaign invites the company’s more than 110,000 employees, distributed in various localities, to reflect on small actions they can each take. Adding together the behavior of each one of us, we can make a big difference in building a better future for the planet.
Every day, Vale employees work to control emissions, recycle and reuse waste, cut their consumption of water and materials, and reduce the risks of environmental incidents, among many other actions. This campaign is another initiative by Vale to contribute to environmental conservation.
