ITV will promote the production of scientific research and the economic development of the country’s technology base, going beyond the company’s frontiers.
Using the talents of Brazilian and foreign researchers, who will work as part of a network with other research institutes and universities in Brazil and other countries, the Vale Technological Institute will be a hub for the production, storage and global dissemination of innovative knowledge for the sustainable mining production chain.
To implement this mission, two centers will be built, each one with a specific vocation: mining in Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais) and sustainable development in Belém (Pará). These ITV centers will have world-class technological resources and facilities for research and postgraduate courses.
