Model of architectural plan for ITV Sustainable Development center, to be built in Belém (Brazil)
Belém, in Pará (Brazil), will be the location for the first Vale Technological Institute center, which will prioritize research into sustainable development.
In the first half of 2010, Vale held three workshops as part of the “Vale and the Science and Technology Community Seminar for Sustainable Development.” Attended by researchers from various institutions and fields of knowledge, the aim of the event was to identify the first research areas for the Vale Technological Institute Sustainable Development center.
The priority areas identified were climate change, water management, sustainability in the mining industry, biodiversity, energy, and technology for environmental monitoring.
